one boro.
Middlesbrough is undergoing a transformation and an unmistakable buzz fills the air. A positive momentum is redefining the area’s image and future. Plans aren’t just in place, they are happening as we speak. Massive investment is re-shaping the environment, transport, town centre, retail, homes and much more.
From September 2008 Middlesbrough College will move into their state of-the-art, purpose built £68m college, right on the doorstep of RiversideOne. This exciting new project will provide students with the most up-to-date facilities and equipment, and provide local people with a wealth of new amenities. Sit back and relax in the restaurant and bistro, pamper yourself with hair and beauty treatments, or make the most of the world class sports and leisure facilities not to mention the theatre and music resources.
Cultural projects like the Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (MIMA) already have people talking. This landmark building in the heart of the town, features art collections and exhibits by internationally acclaimed artists. With its café, roof terrace and £5m public square, it is an exciting hub for the people of Boro. MIMA is testament to a different way of thinking and a new sense of pride. But then, there is a lot to be proud of.
